One of the great vows of Tripitaka Master Hua, founder of the Buddhist Text Translation Society (BTTS), was the promotion of education. Thus within his monastery at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in California, he founded an elementary and high school.

Also, in addition to translating Buddhist sutras into the languages of the world, BTTS publishes books for children. And in order to reach the largest number of youth possible, BTTS is publishing books not only in English and in Chinese, but is branching out to other languages, starting with Spanish.
